Hello there, I’m Shawn!

I’m a final year undergraduate student at University of Indonesia. I have a big interest in machine learning and deep learning especially its application in computer vision. I am currently a Machine Learning (ML) cohort at Bangkit 2024. In my spare time I love reading comics and love watching superhero cartoons and movies.

Achievements

1st Winner of Data Analytics Competition @ Find IT! UGM 2023 (June 2023)

  • Developed a hotel price prediction model using data on ratings, facilities, and hotel locations.
  • Applied the CRISP-DM methodology to analyze the data and documented the results in a comprehensive 25-page report.
  • Presented findings to data scientists and machine learning practitioners, demonstrating model performance and insights.

3rd Winner of Data Science Competition @ StarCore Analytics (September 2023)

  • Developed an Early Warning System model to predict Ciliwung River water levels using IoT sensor data from four locations.
  • Utilized the CRISP-DM methodology for data analysis and model development.
  • Presented the model and findings to data scientists and machine learning practitioners, highlighting its predictive accuracy and practical applications.

3rd Winner of Data Battle Penerimaan I @ Data Quest Kemenkeu 2023 (November 2023)

  • Developed a machine learning forecasting model to predict national revenue realizations from the taxation sector.
  • Leveraged historical national revenue data for accurate financial management predictions.
  • Aimed to support national financial planning and decision-making processes with predictive insights.

Work Experience

Research Intern @ Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) (June 2024 - August 2024)

  • Conducted research on topological insulators and multiplet theory and presented biweekly progress to advisors and mentors.
  • Made computational tight binding calculation on graphene and analyzed its band structure and topological properties utilizing Python, Numpy, and Matplotlib.
  • Conducted experiment on bismuth selenide (Bi2Se3) to analyze dirac done on 3D topological insulators.

Student Tutor @ Ambisforia (August 2021 - December 2021)

  • Taught physics and covered materials on Fundamental Physics such as Mechanics and Dynamics.
  • Led and mentored students for preparation of university entrance exams such as UTBK, SIMAK UI, and UTUL UGM.
  • Managed 10+ hours of personalized guidance and consultation to guarantee students understanding.
